In Otter News--September 1st

We had a great first week of school! The highlights of last week were our Otter Training Camp where our otters learned the school-wide expectations. Principal Barker also read in each classroom and met all of our new otters. We hope that everyone enjoyed their long weekend and are back and ready for a great week!

Friendly Reminders

It's always helpful to have your child's items (jackets, lunchboxes, water bottles, etc.) labeled. This is the easiest way for misplaced items to get returned to their owner.
Having an extra pair of clothing and underwear in your child's backpack helps for those unforeseen accidents.

Upcoming Testing

Over the next two weeks, we will be assessing our students in the areas of math and reading. Teachers will be sharing with you the results of these assessments. These assessments are just one measure we use to gauge where our students are at and where we need to get them in the school year. These assessments also help determine our small groups and the areas we focus on within these groups.
